Virtualization

Virtualization allows you to run multiple operating systems on the same hardware.  With this capability you realize greater flexibility in running the applications that run your business.  The previous one server per application model often resulted in unused server resources.  Virtualization enables you to continue the strategy of segregating business applications within their own operating system while eliminating the waste of underutilized memory, disk space and processing power of the physical server.  And in the same breath, you have also saved on capital expenditures and become more energy efficient.

Our own systems highly utilize virtualization servers.  Through virtualization we can accommodate running many disparate systems simultaneously without the added cost of expensive hardware.  This allow us to test new products as they come to market at a much faster rate than previously possible; and it allows us to integrate those new products into our business quickly and without disrupting out existing applications.  And this is still scratching the surface of what virtualization can do.
